As mentioned above the color palette was selected through a deeper look into the business mission statement and Japanese culture. The Torii Gate is aligns greatly with our mission and thus colors provide further symbolism. Moreover the Primary color (Red) speak to the Japanese flag, with the off-white emphasizing this tribute.

To complement the display fonts selected, which are both bold and loud, a thiner and less competitive font was needed. Helvetica Neue in a thin font weight complements greatly.

The font echos the appearance of Kanji and Kana characters within Japanese language. The bold weight emphasizing this depiction and creating professionalism and strength. This speaks to the business’ desire for respect for all as mentioned in the mission statement.

When writing characters with traditional calligraphy sets, the Fude (brush) and Sumi (black ink) create a very similar brush stroke. Thus this font was selected to provide another visual element of the Japanese culture.
